Do you mean the password for your iPod or your apple account? If it's your apple account you can go through apple's website and retrieve your username and/or reset your password
My Apple ID

If it's your iPod password you forgot, then unfortunately you will need to reset your device and delete everything on it to get it working again. Here's a link to do just that:

SOURCE: i forgot the password and itunes won't connect to it

Hi,

You can reset a lost iPod password.

  1. Plug in your iPod.
  2. Wait for it to load completely.
  3. Open My Computer (or computer if on Vista). Make sure you can view hidden files.
  4. Go to iPod_control.
  5. Go to the folder named Device.
  6. If your iPod is locked, there will be a file _locked . Rename the file to _unlocked.
  7. Safely remove your iPod and it will be cleared.
Hope this helps !
Awaiting response.
Thanks.

How do I undisable my iod

What iOS is running on the iPod? when it is 7 or 8, you ran out of luck, because resetting is not an option.
The only thing then is to connect the iPod to the computer with iTunes, and then enter the password for your iTunes account. Then you again can setup a new code for your iPod, but please make a note for yourself, to avoid the same thing happening again.

I canceled an iTunes account that was used to purchase many songs. I canceled it because my kids were running up purchases. Now I can't sync the songs to an iPod or play them on iTunes that were...

Ideas? Try to re set up that account. It is one of 2 options. Second is open another account but you lose all of the credits. Use a password no one can have access too and don't give it up. Kids are cool and we love them but....they need to learn self control.

My ipod is blocked. i forgot the password. what do i do?

Plug it into itunes on a PC or MAC and see what itunes has to say about it. Normally itunes will unblock it for you, or if the worst comes to the worst you will have to do a firmware restore. (plug into itunes and click on the restore button on the main ipod screen.)

I forgot my password and i got a new computer? how do i restore it now?

Does it show up in iTunes AT all? If so, you attempted to restore it yet? The only way to get beyond the password without having the code is to restore in iTunes.

If your having difficulties getting the iPod to connected to your computer try this.
Connect your USB cable to your USB port on your computer without having the iPod connected. Power off the device (Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the the iPhone or iPod touch to turn off.

Press and hold the Home button while reconnecting the USB cable to iPhone. When you reconnect the USB to iPhone, the device should then power on.
Continue holding the Home button while iPod starts up. While starting up, you will see the Apple logo. When you see "Connect to iTunes" on the screen, you can release the Home button and iTunes will display the recovery mode message: iTunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode. You must restore this iPod before it can be used with iTunes.

If you don't see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, then disconnect the USB cable from iPod and repeat steps 3-6.
Because you must restore the iPod touch, iTunes will not recover data from the device, but if it was previously synced on the same computer and the same user account, it should restore a backup (if available)
