1. Check the transfer unit is set correctly.
2. Check the transfer roller is set correctly.
3. Check the high voltage supply board is set correctly.
4. Check the harness of the high voltage supply board.
5. Call a Ricoh Service tech.
transfer roller area leaking current. clean the area around it of devlp powder causing it to short to ground and change transfer roller and bushings. hope this helps

Please open the front door and turn the blue lever in the middle,
remove the Transfer and Separation unit and check if the bushings of the transfer roller are damaged.
If OK, please give some oil on the shaft/bushings of the transfer roller. This unit may be replaced as a whole unit.
If SC401 re-occurs, please check the Photoconductor unit (drum).
