Water draining from underneath the unit on and down the window on the outside. This is running down the wood of the sill. There is also a great amount of it collecting in the pan, almost to over spill to the inside, No outside drain is seen. Where is a drain hole on the Quiet Master KS12L10, located?

Most window units use the water in pan and throw it upon condenser which evaporates it. need to check if its level side to side with a slight tilt to the back in window.

I have this problem too. I pulled the window unit out of it's sleeve (Friedrich Quietmaster 2008 SS series) and saw two oval holes in the front about a half inch up from the pan on either side. They were about an inch long by a 1/4" wide. They were clear.
I think the problem is that under the colls in the back of the ac is rotted from water accumulation so the water doesn't flow under the fins to drain out.
I will try to make a passageway so that the water does not build up.

It's not the angle and it may be that the ac is too small for the room and the water continously builds up and does not drain out because of the rotted fins at the back but what do I know.

Dont pull the unit out, you may damage the lines that carry the freon.Your drain may be stopped up. try pumping it out by hooking up a shop vac to the drain from the outside, this should pull through any debris loose that is blocking the water from draining.

SOURCE: My quiet master is leaking

1. check the filter.2. remove the front cover and check the front coil behind the filter and check any drains that might be plugged. some units do not have drains and if not that is fine. 3 Be certian that the unit is tilted to the outside about 1 inch or so.. It should then drain as it is designed.. hope this helps let me know.. Jon

A/c is window mounted - tilted slightly to the outside. Water drips from the middle bottom of the unit, and onto the sill. I don't see any drain hole. Is there a drain hole that I can't see, or do I...

water should drip out back. You may need to clean floor of unit so water can run to the back

Drainage occurs near the front of the unit, resulting in pools of water leaking onto my window sill. Unit is installed properly, there is no drain hole to direct water away from the insides of the walls...

The A/C unit should be tilted slightly to the rear and this will allow the water to leak to the outside of the window, you may have to drill a small hole in the case to drain if there is no pre-existing hole.

THE DRAIN HOLE FOR MY FRIDGIDAIRE AIR CONDITIONER IS IN THE WINDOW SILL, WHAT DO I DO ABOUT THE WATER ?

You will have to remove the unit fro the window, and take it outside and remove the cover, unless the sheel remains in the window, and use a water hose to clean all the debris out and clear the drain, this really needs to be done every year, also, make sure the tilt on the unit is enough for the water to drain outside, not in,if this was at all helpful, please rate thank you.

Sill supports for window air conditioner...no sills

ok do not worry...every unit comes with outside supports that allow you to tilt the uinit to the outside a little so the water discharge can leake outside and not inside your house...one support go in eachside under th eunit one side connect to the wall and the other side connect to the bottom of the unit...
the whole is need on the side you are going to let the water out...the unis discharge lots of water and need a way out and the hole is for that make suer it is on the back close to the corner and far away from any moving part.(I usually find a place under the fan that is if they do not have one pre-driled

Whirlpool Air Con Drainage issue

Yes, there should be a place for the condensate to drain outside. It's apparently clogged and the drip pan is overfilling. Look for a tube or an opening outside where the condensate should be exiting. This needs to be unclogged.

The unit is over flowing even when not turned on.

If your air conditioner is overflowing with water
1. Check the drain at the base of the unit.
2. Check the drain hose post drain hole.
AC's condensate and create water and have to drain. If drain is clogged, they flood

Installing room airconditioner

what i did was buy a 2x6 cut them all into about 18 inches in length screwed one piece onto the window sill and the other 3 i screwed into that piece going out the window so the a/c unit sits on the wood pieces and clears the window sill that way i dont have to worry about the a/c unit weight on the window it was all on the wood pieces sticking out
