Frezzer works but the fridge does not keep any food cold, food is beung throw away

Find where the supply air is coming into the fridge part. It comes from the freezer and could easily be supplying -18 air direct to the door. This would give you a 2 in the fridge but anything in the direct air path could freeze.

Can you feel air moving or hear the fan running in the freezer section? You said the freezer section is freezing well, but is it freezing really hard?

I had the same problem. The frezzer worked but the fridge was not getting cold. What I have learned is that the frezzer make the fridge cold, so if the frezzer is working then something is blocking the cold air to get into the fridge. Most likely ice. The air come in at the bottom of the inside of the fridge next to the frezzer. Pull everything out of the frezzer, then unscrew the plannel that runs along the back and you see if there is ice. If so turn frezzer off and dry out the frezzer. I used hot water.

probably,there is a garage kit available that willallow it to work at colder temps,listed in owners manule under accessories the thermostat senses refrig compartment temps.soif garage temp is below 40 or so the thermostat just doen't turn the unit on enough or not at all

This is usual. In some refrigerators it is designed that way. It will keep the vegetables etc. in the fridge from drying out. Usually this spout is close to the back wall of the fridge. It is designed such that water drips directly to a small hall on the bottom of the fridge. It is important that you don't push the dishes or food in the fridge too far back. Otherwise water will be on you food. This spout should be far back as I mentioned. If, for some reason the water is dripping not close to the back, the spout may have beent damaged or bent. Check to see whether it is OK.

Have u check the moisture control in the frezzer? If so make sure that all the vents are clear of all food and/or food containers and such... Turn ur fridge temp control to max.. Wait 5 hours WITHOUT opening fridge or freezer. Good luck! Let me know how everything tur out

sorry. ge had several fixes for this problem,unfortunatly none worked
i worked for ge and have tried everything. you have done the right thing, buy the way i have to defrost mine today!
ps make sure it is completely dry before you turn it on. for your info.
this problem started after they moved the evaporator from the rear wall to the floor of the freezer the new evaporator allows too much air flow over the fan thus your problem

I have the sam eproblem but my freezer is very cool, but the fridge wont get cold, it is just chilled, my food still goes bad and the water and soda is room tem..this doesnt make sense!
