Have you got it on correct speed? 45,33,?

Yes, i am trying to play 33's but it is noticeably fast. There is no belt only electronics and I'm not sure if there is an adjustment, or where I might find it.

I don't have a headphone problem, the recorder plays too slow like the belt is worn where can I get a replacement

Try MCM electronics - they have all size belts and the trick is to replace the stretched out belt with one that is about a quarter to one half inch longer in circumference.

I had the same trouble, also wouldn't play back discs that I recorded using it. The commonly listed reset of channel up and down at the same time was not meant for this model.
Below is the official solution that was sent to me by panasonic.
After using this method to reset my player it worked great. it was just like taking it out of the box for the first time.
