Magnavox tv just flashes different colors tried to turn on the tv with the remote, but it didn't work. I pushed the power button on the tv and it turned on, but instead of getting anything, it just flashed colors. Red, to green, to blue to yellow, etc. I couldn't change any inputs or get the menu to show up. It would just flash a color on the entire screen for a couple of seconds and switch to a different color.

Maby un plug it for a day then try again or it may be a bad circuit board.

Make sure that you have turned on the tv before you begin programing your Uverse remote control.

Hold down the TV button on the Uverse remote. (If you are trying to program a different device, hold down the button that names that device). As you are holding the TV button, press and release the OK button. You know you have done this right when all the mode keys flash twice.

Find the 4 digit code for your device

At this point, the TV mode button should flash three times. Try to turn the TV off by pushing the power button. If it does not turn off, try a different code. The manufacturer of your TV has many codes.

If none of the codes for your device work, try manually searching for a code. Go back and repeat steps 1 and 2. Then enter 922. Hold play as the remote cycles through various codes. When your TV turns off, push enter.

I suggest you try these steps..

1.Turn the television set on by pressing the "Power" button on the set.

2. Find the "Code Search" button on the Philips Magnavox remote. This button will be labeled or will be a different color than the other buttons on the remote (depending on which Philips Magnavox remote you own)

3. Hold the "Code Search" button down for about ten straight seconds. The light on the Philips Magnavox remote should then stay on.

4. Starting pressing either the "Up" or "Down" channel button on the Philips Magnavox remote. Continue pressing the same button until the television responds to the remote. It could take a few minutes for the channel to change so you'll need to have patience when searching for the remote code in this manner.

5. Press the power button on the Philips Magnavox remote once the channel has changes. If the device shuts off, press the power button again to turn the TV back on. If the TV turns on, the remote has been programmed correctly. Repeat the entire process if your remote is not programmed.

Try holding down the the code search button until the LED lights.. Then push the TV button.. with the tv on Start pushing the power button at one second intervals until the tv turns off.. Then push the enter button. that should find the correct code.

LOL its in a demo mode man!! simply hit the menu button on the original remote and go to the special settings and turn them off. If it still does not work, then the painter or the Microprocessor Ic Needs to be replaced.
