Everytime i preess "menu my tv goes off. can't get into "menu" at all even by preesing the button on the side. how do i solve this?

Check the front control buttons switches inside for any struck, especially to menu button.

Either Video board went bad or LCD panet went bad

my hcl 17inches monitor is displaying contrast,brightness etc automatically
in the middle of the screen.even if i press the menu buttons it
disappears for a sec and comes again and again.what should i do to

when you turn your TV on press the MENU button straight away this sometimes works it depends on the make etc.

It is always more difficult to operate the menu features of a tv using the manual buttons on the tv. I recommend you unplug the ac cord of the tv from the wall for a day while you go out and buy a universal remote control. After plugging the tv back in and turning it on initially most television on screen prompts immediately direct you to the set up menu which includes setting the language.

Follow the instructions on the universal remote and program the remote to the tv using the power button on the remote to determine if you have reached the right code. It will then be possible to operate the menu features of the tv via the remote control and thus change the language back to english.

Niceeeee! this really fixed the issue after 15 seconds with the menu button preessed down the lock became unlocked. MAGIC!

On your remote there should be a button that says "Aspect" or "Pic Size". Press thisuntil the video fills the screen. If you do not have the remote of don't have the original remote, this setting can be found by preesing the menu button on the tv, go down to video settings and it should be listed under "Aspect Ratio", change it untill the video fills the screen.

have u checked ur remote.
try to do it if u can with tv buttons.
if it happens with tv button the proble goes to remote.
u can check ur remote by doing a test

just use your camera even mobile camera.
switch on ur camera so that u can see the remote lens (at the top) in the camera and press each button one by one.
even menu button.
if u can see a white light emitting from remote in the camera then its mean that button is working.
check all of them
moreover, if light is seemed dim then change the battery of remote

Hit the menu button on the remote. Click on Setup. Then click on Set The Quick Start Options. Make sure it is on. That should solve your problem.
