We just got it and were cleaning the brush roller and cant figure out how to put it back on?
It should loop around the roller, Rachelle, then twist one-quarter turn to hook over the motor shaft (the steel one that points straight down). Now, it CAN be hooked over the motor shaft in either of two directions, depending upon which direction you twist it - one way will make the roller run backwards and probably pop the belt back off the shaft. The other way is the correct way - if the roller rotates the correct direction when you bump the power switch, then it's on correctly.

THESE BRUSHROLLS HAVE A RUBBER PAD WHICH IS CALLED A CLUTCH PAD. THIS MAY BE WORN, OR THE SLIDERS MAY JUST NEED A SMALL WASHER WHICH YOU CAN GET FROM YOUR LOCAL RICCAR DEALER. ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOUR LINKAGE ROD IS CONNECTED PROPERLY. ROD SHOULD BE ON THE BOTTOM PLATE SIDE, IF YOU HAVE THE MACHINE TURNED OVER WITH THE BOTTOM PLATE OFF IT SHOULD BE ON TOP OF THE BRUSHROLL.

As you already know, the red brush indicator light indicates that the brush roll has stopped turning, usually because an object has become stuck in the brush roll. When that happens you should turn the machine off (unplug it also for safety), remove the obstruction and turn the vac back on. That should have cleared the light and allowed your brush to turn again.
Occasionally, you will get debris in the brush roll end caps and the brush roll will spin slower making the sensor think there is an obstruction. You can remove the brush roll, pop the end caps off and clean out any debris to see if that helps.
If none of the above worked it is possible that the brush roll sensor is bad or the circuit board in the machine is bad. You'll need a Riccar service center for that. The good news is your Radiance has a 6 year warranty.
Locate and purchase the correct belt for your Eureka vacuum cleaner from the local grocery or department store. Vacuum belts come in different sizes according to your model of vacuum. Check your owner's manual or the vacuum itself for your model number.
Turn your vacuum cleaner over so that the bottom of the unit is facing you. Remove the cover plate from the bottom by undoing the screws that are holding it in place with a screwdriver.
Locate the belt pulley rod near the back of the vacuum base coming out of the motor. With the vacuum cleaner base turned upside down and facing you, the motor and pulley rod should be up near the top of the base.
Slide the vacuum brush roller out of the slots at the bottom of the vacuum base and remove the old belt from the brush roller and pulley rod. With the brush roller off of the unit, clean the brush by removing any strings or cords wrapped around the tube.
Install the new belt by looping it over the belt pulley rod next to the motor and then looping around the end of the brush roller in the belt slot. Hold the brush roller and pull back on it to tighten the belt while you slide the roller back into the slots on the vacuum base.
Replace the base cover plate by snapping it back into place and securing it with screws. Turn vacuum back upright and turn it on to test the belt and verify the unit is working
