You may have a blocked paper sensor. Check the path the papaer would follow and located the sensors. Check them for dust or torn paper. The machine will not print until the jam error is cleared. If disconnected from power too long jobs in memory may be lost.

SOURCE: How Can I Reprint a Fax?

Here's a trick that I used on the Canon thermal transfer years ago. First take out the thermal transfer unit and roll up the black transfer sheet to the begining of the lost fax. Then reload the paper. Next get a solid black original equal and make a copy. The result you should get a negative copy of the lost fax. Repeat this step until all the faxes are recovered..

Does it say clear jam immediatly or does it start to run then declare a jam?
If it starts then tells you to clear a jam and no paper is in the machine, your feed rollers are shot. Smooth like trying to drive a car on ice.
If it says that all the time, no attempt to feed then you have a sensor either dirty, knocked out of place or something stuck on a sensor.
Either in the paper path or in the scanner.

How to clear Memory?

If the memory is filled up when a fax is received ... when there's no paper, or it is jammed (so that it can't print) ... you can print the fax (in Memory, after putting in new paper, or fixing the jam) by pressing the START/MEMORY button. After it prints, the memory is cleared.

If the memory is filled up when you're scanning and storing a document into memory (to be fax out), press the START/MEMORY key to transmit the pages that's already in memory. After transmitting the content in memory, the memory will be cleared/emptied. You'll need to scan the remaining pages to transmit (as a separate fax)

My fax machine states 'fax RX in memory' and does not receive any faxes?

There is a Fax in memory. Either, the machine has a paper jam, is out of paper, or needs the ink cartridge replaced. Fix the above and the fax will print and the machine should work in Fax mode again.

For a unit with paper and no paper jam, try adjusting the paper stack and check if the unit picks up the paper properly. If you have ink in the cartridge, try cleaning the print nozzles and contacts. If a nozzle cleaning from the unit doesn't work, do it manually. Use a damp cloth (lint-free) and wipe in one direction only. Dampen the cloth with bottled or distilled water for best results. See your manual for pictures.

If you need the manual, try the Sharp site or http://www.retrevo.com/support/Sharp-UX-B700-Fax-Machines-manual/id/310bh149/t/2/ .

I hope this helps.

How do I get it to print docs in memory?

Does the fax machine produce a copy? If there is a paper jam/toner error, this needs to be sorted first. What is on the display?

Received fax's are not printing. Unit prints confermations and is working as a printer but recieved fax's just park in memory and will not print.

TYPICALLY A FAX MACHINE WILL RECEIVE MESSAGE IN MEMORY WHEN NO PAPER OR TONER/INK FINISHED INDICATION IS THERE, REPLENISH THESE SUPPLIES WITH GENUINE ONES AND FAX WILL START PRINTING. IF PROBLEM IS NOT SOLVED , PLEASE TRY TO CLEAR THE SETTING FOR MEMORY RECEIVING, IF STILL NOT SOLVED TRY BRINGING THE MACHINBE TO FACTROY SET SETTING BY CLEARING THE MEMORY. HAPPY FAXING OMNIPRESENT
