Reverse polarity should only blow fuse,if solenoid is clicking but motor not turning then solenoid is faulty

Power trim just quit, I checked the fueses they are good. will not go up or down. can here clicking noise when I hit switch. 50 hp 4 stroke Yamaha low hour motor

Might be simple. Did you leave the Nav lights on and run the battery down? The clicking means it wants to go but may not have any power.

On my 50 Yamaha two stroke I have power to the trim motor from the green and blue wire but no movement. I have a clicking sound when I move up or down is the motor bud?

Sounds like faulty trim tilt relay.Connect blue green wires direct to battery ,if motor goes up or down then trim is ok but relay is faulty

Are the controls for a 1998 15 HP 2 stroke Mercury outboard compatible with a 2011 30 HP 4 stroke Mercury outboard

If your old engine/control has the same 'options' as the30hp, yes everything is compatible... (Electric start or trim )
The throttle and shift cables are allways compatible...
