Set the shooting mode to a Creative Zone mode. Press MENU to enter the menu. Under the Setup tab, select [Live View function settings] then press SET. Select [Live View shoot] and press SET. Select [Enable] and press SET. Press MENU to exit the menu. Press SET. The image should now appear on the LCD instead of through the viewfinder.
Refer to "Live View Shooting," Chapter 5 in the manual for more details and the limitations of the LiveView mode.

You must be in P, Tv, Av, M, or the A-DEP modes. Enable Live View in the camera’s Menu. On the second set-up menu screen go to “Live View function settings” then "Live View Shoot"-> enable. After this all you need to do is press the Set button.
In your manual it is on page 95, on how to do this,
It is called LIve view shooting and it does not work on basic zone modes.
1. Set camera to a creative zone mode
2. then under that tools option select live view function setting then press the set button
3 select live view shoot then hit set
4. press the menu button to exit
You have to set the camera to "Live View" mode. Check your manual for settings. BTW, it's usually a bad idea to use Live View mode unless the camera is on a tripod. With Live View you have to hold the camera out in front of you and it's much less steady.
Try pressing the display button when playing back an image. Also check
the custom settings menu for your review tiume settings. Mine is set at
2 seconds. Perhaps there is an option not to review the image...though
I need to check.
