Type password Ten times incorrectly ..this will wipe off all the data and will restart your blackberry
and when it is restarted you will be able to enter a new password and in Case if you donot want to Wipe the data and still you want to reset it..if you are on the main screen of your blackberry
Settings--options--security settings or security options and than press on track ball or wheel and from the menu choose reset Password..

Yes, if you enter passwords ten times, it will run a master reset on it, clearing all data. On the 8th bad password, you will have to enter the word 'blackberry' too, but that is to keep small children from running a master reset by playing with it.

As to the users with jvm errors, you will need to install Blackberry Desktop Manager on your PC, and reinstall the BB software. Both the BBDM and the software can be found at www.att.com/bbdownloads.

i am almost positive you cannot "over ride" your password.  i recently set my password and it warns that if you set it and then forget it, there is no way to retrieve it.  i think you have to get a new SIM.
