Model SMH9187W manufactured in 2011 ******# J4LW7MOE200244N. Shows a SE error. Sensor error. We tried blowing out the dirt/dust from the sensor panel to no avail. What can we do to fix this. Otherwise I love the microwave. When it is out of commission I am lost.

We had the same problem and fixed it! Try hitting Pause/Cancel button until it shows zero on the display. Then press Kitchen Timer button and input 1:00. Then press start. Our microwave began working after trying that. Hope it works for you!
SOURCE: Samsung Microwave Oven shows -SE- on the display. Why?
-SE- error means you
have a shorting membrane keypad.
Since
it's less than one year old, it would be fully covered under warranty.
I'd suggest contacting the manufacturer to get it fixed free.

I had the same problem, I changed the daylight savings time on mine and it worked untill summer, then it happend again. Finally mine quit working altogether. P.S. when this first happend samsung didn't even know what the error coded meant. It is an engineering code, meaning service engineer I believe. If it is beyond the year warranty your hosed, it would cost so much to try and fix your better off buying a new one.

Hi SE error code means shorted key and is displayed when either
a key is shorted or the key pad has gone bad. Usually replacing the keypad
solves the issue however, before doing this you can also try to leave it unplug
for 15 minutes. If the issue returns then the keypad should be replaced. Hope
this helps...please post back for further assistance. Daniel

SE means system error, the keypad has a short in the membrane, or the control board has issues.
