My yahoo.com opens to wwrong info page .how do I correct it?
This is just a guess here.. But it seems like you may have inadvertently added a search engine referral "program". It isn\'t an actual program, typically. It is also referred to as a hijacker. You put in an address say Yahoo and when you search you get results from something OTHER than Yahoo. A popular hijacker is Trovi. So you search yahoo and all of sudden you are getting results from Trovi. These are typically easy to remove. It does depend on the browser though. And since you didn\'t really provide that info, I suggest you try to research how to remove them. Typically you can look for add ons or search engines in the tools/options section of the browser. Lastly, if you just cannot get search results, try accessing the browser\'s help menu. F1 on Windows OS\'s. Hope this helps! Browser hijacking
Sorry about that. I did not see that you mentioned IE8! In that case, you can change you search engine by clicking TOOLS then INTERNET OPTIONS. Click on the GENERAL TAB. Under the Search Section, click SETTINGS. You can then remove any unwanted Search Engines by highlighting said Search Engine and clicking REMOVE.
