You can change to any bit, but have to change the compression collar inside the end of the shaft. For example if the tool shaft size is 1/8" you need to use the 1/8" collar etc. Make sure you use the corresponding bit with the corresponding compression shaft size or the bit will not lock in position when you tighten the collar.

Dremel charger flashes green then goes out after 15 seconds. Won't hold charge. Why?

The flashing light indicates an error, possibly your battery is shot or malfunctioning. New battery needed.

How do i attach the drill bit to my dremel 300

You can use a drill that fits directly ( one size) or you can use a small chuck made for the Dremel. example: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Dremel-1-32-in-Multi-Pro-Tool-Chuck-4486/100531881

Hi,I am unable to remove attachment from rotary drill. no instruction book

For a tool like the dremel you push down the shaft lock button on the side of the bit and use the small wrench to unthread the collet nut.

Exctly what fits what

Go to Amazon and do a search for "dremel drill chucks". There are a variety of models that will close down to '0' to allow use of bits as small as #80. Make sure and look at the low end capacity and make sure it will go small enough for the size bit you want to use. I have used to #4486 to use micro drill bits but it is not rated to go that small and can cause wobble and break the bit if not very careful. They are pretty cheap so you can try a couple different models even.

Dremel 3100 won't release the drill bit. Button at the top is pressed in and won't come out.

The button is only to keep the shaft from turning while you loosen the collet (the nut) with the little wrench. THEN the tool comes out.

How do you get the precision drill bit into the dremel?

You may have to change mandrel to a smaller one. There should be 2,if not 3, in your kit. I ended up buying the 4486 keyless chuck to save time on tool changes.

I hope this helps. M

Broke small phillips screw head off the end of dremel

possible if you have a drill bit smaller than the screw and you can try drilling in reverse. Might be better just to replace the mandrel though.
