Turn off the camera .

place the camera with the lens facing up and check the spacing between the lens and housing. if you notice a gap gently press down the lens on the side where the gap is . try powering the camera back on

SOURCE: How do I solve error

The following is an answer taken from site: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20101220203847AAmODI4

"You can try a hard restart:

- put fresh batteries in the camera but no memory card;
- double click the on/off button so the camera turns on, then off;
- hit the button again and, hopefully, it will start normally.

If this doesn't help, call Canon tech support. E-series error codes may indicate hardware or firmware issues that need professional repair. In the U.S. the Canon customer support phone number is: 1-800-OK-CANON."

Hope this will help. Best of luck.

SOURCE: sd1400 canon camera error e32

Hello

The problem is that the lens has become stuck in the barrel. There are some DIY solutions you could try, but the probability is that you will have to get it fixed by a professional.

Use these at own risk as it may further damage the camera.

Firstly , try connecting your ac adapter or usb cable.

Try holding the shutter button while switching on the camera.

Look at the lens , and if some of the lens 'circles' is misaligned or not concentric then try wiggling it (while holding camera lens down).

Try gently pushing or pulling the lens when it extends but this is risky as it may cause the lens barrel to slip out of its guidance system.

Another way to do this is to place the camera lens down on a hard surface and then power it up. Be sure to use a soft cloth or something similar as to not scratch your lens or casing. Let the lens push the camera up and down a few times and sometimes the little resistance provided by the camera is enough to get things going again.

Try hitting your camera near the lens on the body with the soft tissue on the palm of your hand.

Other than that , I would take the camera to a repair center for a evaluation to see if it would cost more to repair than to replace the camera.

If it is still under warranty I would suggest you take it in before trying any of these steps and remove any off-brand batteries or accessories as some stores are really fussy about warranty repairs on camera's with non-brand accessories.

Hope the advise is useful. Please do not hesitate to let me know if you need any further assistance.

Regards
Andrea

What does e32 mean

The E32 error means a hardware or system failure generally not repairable by the user. If you purchased your camera new / retail, it has a full one year warranty from Canon. If this is unsuccessful, you should contact one of the Canon repair contacts for free warranty service using the information provided below.

Error e32 sx210

Getting Canon error codes usually means a trip to the Canon service center for a fix. There's a discussion in the DPreview forum regarding the same problem.

Apparently an E32 error code results in the camera powering off in exactly 60 seconds in the playback mode. It not necessarily affects just the G11 but other PowerShot models too.

Generally E-series error codes mean either a hardware or firmware issue that cannot be rectified by the end user.

Hope this helps

Positive feedback ALWAYS welcome :)
