It's new just taken out of the box, repeat. My friend bought me a Magic Chef Model # MCD1811ST Microwave Oven and opened the box plugged in (should a light come on when you open the door, because this does not) no light. What now?
Does the unit work? if it does then the light might be blown or broken the owners manual will tell you how to change it.

Since the owner's manual doesn't cover it, you'll have to remove the outer wrapper.

Normally you have to
separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo)
and then you'll see the previously hidden screw(s) you need to remove.
Or you can watch a YouTube video (not a video I
made) that demonstrates how it's done.
In some cases, you then
have to gently rotate the handle to unlock it.
