its either you need a new charger (assuming your charger is broken) or you need a replacement on your charging port (it can be costly, try replacing a new charger)
probably your charger is broken or your charging port is broken. either way, if the charger is broken, its cheap to replace. if the port is broken, its cost a bit more
That symbol usually indicates the battery isn't charged or charging. It could be a connection problem, a charger problem, or a battery problem.
If you have an extra wall charger, try that first as they don't always last forever. Make sure the plug that connects to your tablet looks clean and not corroded.
If it still won't charge, then chances are the battery needs servicing to make sure the connection is OK or the battery just might need to be replaced.
Check charger, cable and connectors. When you can borrow another charger try that one. If a new or good charger does not change the situation, and nothing is in the connector, the defect must be in the tablet, like a bent or broken pin in the connector, or a broken cable inside. An oxidised connection inside or just a defective main board, to mention some possible causes. As soon as the tablet needs to be opened, consult a tech, or start saving for a new tablet.
It sounds like there's a problem with the charger. The wire on the charger is rather delicate. So is the port on your tablet where the wire plugs in. There may be a break inside the wire. If you dropped your tablet while the wire was plugged in and it hit the floor on the charger plug, the charger plug could have damaged the charging port in the tablet or the wire itself could be damaged.
Find someone else who has the same tablet and ask to switch chargers to see if either of them still work on the other tablet. If your friend's charger starts charging your tablet without a problem, then the problem is a a broken wire in your charger. If neither charger will charge your tablet but both chargers charge your friends tablet without a problem, then the problem is with the charging port on your tablet.
If your device charges through a USB port, any generic USB charger will work. They're available everywhere -- Radio Shack, CVS, Walmart, you name it -- for as little as $5. But you should spend a little more to get one with a higher output, which will charge your device faster. Look for 5V at 1.0 A if you can find it. Make sure the plug on the cable matches what's on your device -- or unplug the cable from your broken charger and plug it into the new one! (By the way, you're sure it's the charger and not the cable, right? if you bend the plug at either end of the cable too much, the wires break and it stops working until you put on a new cable.)
Ok so you lost the charger does your cell phone charger plug into it or is it an apple junk if its apple go to apple store if its any other device your charger can be bought any where im even sure your local convenient store sales it
check wires....if it's not broken or damaged.....
check if cable is not broken around connector area or around plug...
check if you connected connector deep enough while charging..... check if connector on tablet is clean, if not, try to clean it, remove dust from inside
