when installing a new cartridge it is nessesary to put stem grease on the o-rings or you are taking a chace of cutting the o-ring which will cause the coldwater to mix with the hot causing the lack of hot water this is a very common problem but easily preventable with a little grease
replace the valve shaft in the handle. first, make sure the water is off under the sink. then there should be a tap screw in the handle (usually hidden under a label or plug), unscrew it and the handle comes off. the valve should unscrew. bring it to lowes or home depot to find a replacement.
You need to replace the "water inlet valve" inside the machine. I did not see your model number posted so I can give you the exact part but here is a link to all the valves.
No, don't poke it through. It will clog elsewhere. Clean the intake screen completely. Buy a $3.00 in hose screened washer. Put it in the hose end connected to your taps. The reason cold clogs and not hot is that the rust settles in the bottom of the hot water tank and doesn't get pushed thru the lines. The cold water is a direct feed. Clean the newly installed screen monthly as your supply taps are way more convenient than the connections to the water inlet vavle at the back of the machine.
This is a great heater. It is however crucial that it be installed to every detail of the manual. Do you have city water or a well? If a well, you may have dirt or sediment clogging your line! This is even possible if you have city water! City water itself isn't 100% clean! Although municipalities work to try so, it isn't. But also, check the line coming from the house plumbing all the way up into the fridge to verify there aren't any kinks in the line.
Disconnect cold water hose from machine. Inspect the filter screen on the cold water connection. DO NOT REMOVE SCREEN. If full of debris, use a spray bottle with a hard spray to remove debris. If unable to remove or cold is still slow, replace valve. As far as the spin is concerned, inspect the bottom of the gearcase for oil. If oil is present, the oil has migrated to the clutch causing it to slip during spin.
sounds like it was hooked up to a coldwater line instead of a hot and your heating element in the dishwasher went bad from overload or your pc board went bad but i would check to see if it is hooked up to hot water line first..
