That error signifies a carriage fault with the ccd scanner under the platen glass. Check connections of flexible cable and verify that the carriage moves left to right upon start up. If connections are okay you either have a defective IIT Carriage or IIT Carriage Sensor.

There's no way to reset the meter read, unless u replace the hole mainboard.

i have one xerox 5020 machine, there is display showing C1 error code in first tray and C3 error code in bypass tray .if open and close the machine will be idle and ready to cpoy. there is no paper pick up in both trays. please help to resolve the problem.
