Unless your set top box has a digital RF out you have to use a SCART lead

SOURCE: NEC 42mpi plasma tv not working

Check the +170 volt  test point on the power board (not the power filter board, the one that the plug comes into) but the one to the right of that board. It has a 5v test point (TP +5v) , a +170 and a +70. I've found that the +170 transformer goes bad, and won't allow you to adjust the voltage using the pot screw.

The problem was that we did not have the manual for the TV. The owner was playing with the TV and sele cted the picture within a picture option. This was what we attempted to use to view the image.
I finally got to the full screen and everything worked fine.

Hello Fixya team, I need help!

To set up your home theater system with the equipment you mentioned, follow these steps:
  1. Connect the Onkyo receiver to the NEC TV using an HDMI cable. Make sure the HDMI input on the TV is set to the correct input for the Onkyo receiver.
  2. Connect the Panasonic DVD player to the Onkyo receiver using an HDMI cable.
  3. Connect the Firestick Lite to the Onkyo receiver using an HDMI cable.
  4. Connect the Panasonic speakers to the Onkyo receiver using speaker wires. Make sure you connect the speakers to the correct speaker terminals on the receiver, which are usually labeled with the speaker's position (e.g. front left, front right, center, surround left, surround right).
  5. Configure the Onkyo receiver to use the correct input for each device. For example, set the input to "DVD" when you want to watch a movie on the Panasonic DVD player, or set the input to "Firestick" when you want to watch content on the Firestick Lite.
  6. Configure the audio settings on the Onkyo receiver to use the correct audio format for your content. For example, if you are watching a movie with Dolby Digital surround sound, make sure the receiver is set to decode Dolby Digital audio.
  7. Adjust the volume and other audio settings on the Onkyo receiver as needed to optimize the sound quality.
Once you have completed these steps, you should be able to enjoy surround sound audio from your Panasonic speakers through the Onkyo receiver.

Telefunken analogue color TV model MP-A2055VT-H to connect up digital decoder set-top box. The TV only has an RF input. no other plugs. Searched all 80 channels and I cannot find an AV channel on the...

Hi,

The simplest solution would probably be the use of an RF Modulator. Feed the RF Mod with the A/V signals from the Conia CSTB12, set it to transmit on Ch 3 or 4, tune the Telefunken to either channel.

In most Telefunken TVs we have worked on, the A/V INput/OUTput would be on the SCART connectors as shown below.
9775210.jpg
To my understanding, a Conia CSTB12 as sold in Australia has a composite RCA (yellow) Video OUTput and L/R White/Red audio OUTputs. What would be needed would be a A/V signal to SCART adapter/converter.
7906648.jpg
If your Conia CSTB12 has an S-Video, then this may be used.
If your Conia CSTB12 has an HDMI, then something like this may be used.
Incidentally, should you be interested, there are comparable receivers to a Conia CSTB12 that has SCART OUTputs.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

URGENT: How can I connect my tv to my NEC VT695 projector?

Do you want to duplicate the image going from the source to the projector on your TV? If so, then if your TV has a VGA port, just use the monitor Out on the projector. If your TV doesn't have a VGA port, you'll need an appropriate converter. (Avoid a VGA to component video or VGA to composite cable.) If you add a comment with more information on the inputs for the TV (or the model of the TV), then I will try to point you to the correct converter.

If you want to get your TV signal to the projector, you would need a set-top box (cable, satellite, digital tuner) as the source. Most TVs do not have a video output. You can connect a computer or DVD player to the projector.

The manual and quick guide for the VT695 are available from NEC here: http://www.nec-display.com/dl/en/pj_manual/vt695_491.html . The direct link to the English language version of the manual is http://www.support.nec-display.com/dl_service/data/manual/english/vt695_491_manual_e.pdf .

I hope this helps.

3250hd

How have you connected the audio cables to the TV? The 3250HD has component, DVI, and composite video out. There is also two analog audio outputs (for the component and composite video) and a digital audio output. Make sure that you are using a TV and not a monitor. Many monitors do not have built-in speakers. (In that case, use external speakers.)

If you use the digital audio output, make sure that your audio receiver audio input is connected to the set top box audio out. Then make sure to set the correct source for that audio signal. (Note the TV may have a digital audio port; that is an audio out.)

If you are using one of the analog audio outputs directly to the TV, make sure that you are using the correct set of audio IN on the TV and audio out on the set top box. (If you are on the Component input, your audio won't be heard if you are using the Composite audio output.)

Next try different audio cables. Make sure that the TV speakers are on. (Some TVs have an option to disable the speakers if you use external speakers at times.) Try connecting the audio output to a receiver and speaker system (or speakers with aux in). You might need an RCA F/F to 3.5 mm M adapter for some devices. If another set of speakers do not work, then the set-top box probably has a broken audio output. If another set of speakers work, then the problem is with the TV audio. This could be a problem with the jack or the speakers.

I hope this helps.

How do you connect a coaxile cable wire to nec plasma tv that has no coaxile connection plug.

You need to have a decoder box from a over-the-air (DTV), cable or satellite provider that has an HDMI, "S" video, composite video, VGA or component video outputs to connect to the TV's input. The coaxial cable only plugs into the decoder box. Apparently your TV doesn't have a tuner for coaxial RF.

Setting Up Your NEC TVrembar.gif
  1. Turn on your TV.
  2. On your Tune In remote, press TV and release.
  3. Press and hold Set until the green light on Tune In blinks once, pauses and then blinks twice. Now release the Set key.
  4. Enter the first three-digit TV code for your NEC from the list which follows:
    030, 056, 019
These codes are listed in order of popularity, and the green light will blink twice if you perform this procedure correctly.
  5. Aim Tune In at your TV and press Power. Your TV should turn off. If it does not, repeat steps 2-5, trying each code listed in step 4 until you find the one that operates your TV.
Now Test Your TVWhy test? Many times more than one code appears to work. Testing is desirable to be sure you have the correct code for your TV or the other devices you are setting up.
  1. Press the Power key to turn on the TV, then press mute, channel scan ("CH") and volume ("VOL") keys. Tune channels 7 and 11 by entering the number followed by the Enter key.
  2. If your TV does not pass the test, return to Step 2 at the top of this page. Enter the next three-digit code and repeat the process.
