Blower motor installation

Need some assistance. Unit is old and was unable to find an original motor replacement. motor that came out was a 2 speed motor. It had black wire going relay and yellow and brown to capacitor. now with the 3 speed I have six wires and need assistance on how to hook it up. I know the two brown wires go to capacitor. How do I hook up the common and speed wire?

Just check the wiring diagram and connect the two wires for the desired speed and put a wire nut one the third one.

SOURCE: need a wiring diagram for emerson k55hweym 3739

green is ground. white is common. blue and orange are hi speed/low speed. brown goes to the capacitor.
Both motors should have the wire diagram on the side of the motor.

Where can I find brushes for my Toro electric leaf blower (model 51587)? I went to the Toro site and to Partstree.com, but they only sell the motor as a unit (which costs more than a new blower). A...

If you're Toro electric blower is slowing down, throwing sparks, or not starting you may need to replace the carbon brushes. Replacing brushes and cleaning commutator early can prevent damage to motor armature!

Toro replacements are hard to find because Toro does not sell them and it is tricky to make you own.

There are Electric Motor replacement carbon brushes on E-bay for all three motor sizes (7 AMP, 10.5 AMP, and 12 AMP) of Toro Leaf Blowers (Toro Rake and Vac Super and Ultra Blower Vacuums)
Search E-bay for: "Toro Blower Carbon Brush"

- 12 Amp leaf blowers Toro Super (Old model 51552) through Toro Ultra (New model 51609).
- 10.5 Amp leaf blowers Toro Old through Toro New model 51573.
- 7 Amp leaf blowers Toro model 51586 and other Toro 7 amp blowers

Code flashing F 06 wont spin

The code F06:Drive motor tachometer error happens when the control unit is unable to properly detect motor speed.
If you are planning on doing this yourself then in order to troubleshoot this you will need to remove the back panel to gain access to the motor and wiring harness.
Check the motor by turning the pulley. If the motor does not turn smoothly then it's most likely a bad motor. If this seems ok inspect the wiring harness for any broken or loose connections. It's a good idea to unplug and then reinsert all the connections between the board and motor. This helps clean any corrosion that may have built up on them.
If your still having problems then the MCU (motor control board) may need to be replaced.

I hope this helps.

Repairman told me that the blower motor failed on my Amana C/A unit. Told that I need both the blower motor wheel and motor. I was trying to find what the parts (J2371-30 and J1311-90 respectively) but...

You ony need to know the blower wheel diameter and width and the direction(ccw or cw).Is the wheel bent or broken? Normally You don't need to replace the wheel unless the is damage. The motor is proboly a standerd 3 speed motor with high speed being used in cooling, and low speed on low or medium. 230v 1/2 hp.good luck

Blower won't shut off

You will need a Blower motor resistor and maybe a blower motor resistor connector end. If you look under the dash on the passenger side(may need to remove smooth black cover, vents will be sticking out) you will see a connector going straight up into the blower motor resistor(7 wires/slightly in front of blower motor). Pull out the connector and check for melted terminals/wires. If no melted terminals just replace blower motor resistor with part # 89019088 per GM to revert to part before 04 in order to stop blower motor resistor relay from hanging. Let me know if i can help more.
