Hi. I would like to turn off the ringer at my phone for external incoming calls, but still be able to be notified within my office when the call is for me.
Thanks.
How do you want to be notified? How do you determine if a call is for you? Does an operator answer the call and transfer it to your extension? If so, you just need to change programming for your phone so it does not ring for incoming calls. It would still ring if a call is transfered to you. Programming is changed in the phone system, not the telephone. Your phone can be used on different Nortel systems that program differently so you need to find out which system you have and locate the manual for that or pay a local installation company to make the changes.

Thanks for responding. I guess I didn't provide much detail. I don't want the phone to ring on incoming calls, but instead want the secretary to notify me. I tried reading the manual but was unable to figure it out, so we had the local phone guy fix it.
This phone needs to ring when someone calls our office
