Replace engager assembly, dial-a-speed pot and try again. These are common wear items (about every 3-6 years with or without use.)

The hold light I thing keeps the car from rolling back on hills, some can it hill assist. You need the system control computer scanned for fault codes, then based on that you can diagnose the issues.
If the key won\'t turn it suggests the steering wheel is pressing hard on the stop that locks it. Try twisting the steering wheel left and right while attempting to turn the key. That happened to me once when I parked on a hill and turned the wheels so it would bump the curb and not roll away. I had to jerk the steering wheel pretty hard before it let go. If that doesn\'t fix it you may have a real problem inside the switch where something came loose and is blocking the switch from turning. I sure hope jerking the wheel with fix this for you.
Jerks coming to a stop as in engine jerks, or does it seem like the brakes are jerking. When you leave off the pedal does it stop jerking? If it does it is probably warped rotors. A lot of new cars have this problem, my theory is that the brake pads they are using are way too hard. They put way too much heat into the rotor and warp it. Of course the rotors are none too heavy either. I think it is all in an effort to reduce weight in the vehicle.
Is it a possible transmission problem? Does the car start out in 1st gear? ....maybe it is starting off in 2nd or 3rd and kicking down into 1st once you get rolling? Try and feel or hear if the RPM increases when you get the power back as it jerks.
On this van with this problem you should have it serviced by a flush tool. You can also get BG Trans additive to help this. I would say if you can drop the pan yourself do it change the filter add fluid and the BG additive. If you feel real good about your skills takr the upper trans line off the radiator drop it into a bucket add a funnel to you dipstick tube start the van and pour in the fluid at the same rate it comes out into the bucket. Do this untill you run 12 quarts through. Then stop the van reinstall the trans line. check the fluid level. If ok then install the BG trans additive.
