Will not hold charge

1st) Check that cable is working with computer connected to tablet. When connected to a computer does the computer see the tablet?

2nd) Check to see that the charging block providing power. If not try placing it in a Ziploc bag and placing it in the freezer for about 20 minutes. They contain a thermal circuit breaker.

3rd) If it is charging and wont turn on. Hold the tablet vertically, connector facing down and lightly tap it on a hard surface, unplugged of course. Reconnect charger.

If your battery will not charge, you need to run a test on some components on the laptop. The battery, the charger and the laptop itself. Once you detect the faulty conponent then you replace it with a new one.

To test the battery:
1.Power off the laptop,
2.Take out the battery,
3.Insert it in another laptop,
4.Check of it will charge,

If the battery holds a charge there, then it means the problem is not from the battery, but if it does not hold a charge, then it means the battery is defective and need to be replaced with a new one.

To test the charger:
1.Unplug the charger from the present laptop,
2.Connect it to another laptop to see if it will charge.

If it charges the laptop, then it means the charger is alright, and if it does not charge the laptop, then it means the charger is bad and need to be replaced.

To test the laptop:
1.Turn off the laptop,
2.Disconnect your present charger,
3.Remove your present battery pack,
4.Insert a well tested battery into the laptop,
5.Connect a well tested charger to the laptop.

If it powers on, then it and charges, then it means the laptop is working fine, but if it does not charge, then it means the connection port of the laptop is bad.Hope this information was helpful.

Theres a possibility that the IC on your phones motherboard was damaged. if you already tried known good battery and charger and still wont get any charge then your phone motherboard is alread damage and needs replacement or you can buy a standalone charger for your battery.

My guess is that the charging port in your phone has gone bad. By holding it a certain way, you may be reconnecting it just enough to make the connection. Probably have a loose or broken wire inside your phones port. You may also see this is a problem if you try to hook it up to a pc.

Please allow your phone to charge for 3-4 hrs by connecting it to the wall charger.After 4hrs remove the battery from the back and reinsert it.Then press and hold the power button for 1min.Make sure it is connected to the charger when you perform these steps.

The charger port is going bad. It happens over time The symptom of this is you have to hold it into place.

The first step is to contact your carrier to see if it is covered under warranty. If it is, great get it replaced.

If not, you have 3 options:

1. you can get the charging port repaired. The cost is about 50 dollars. I recommend Cellulardr.com

2. you can get a new phone. cost ???

3.Youcan get an external battery charger to charger the battery separate fromphone. An extra battery is a good idea as well so you canhave one charging at all times. 19A259741 is the serial number. The model number should be to the left of that on the decal label. It's sounds like you have a Nuvi 2xx series.

The mini-USB jack is loose. Either is has come loose from the board or the connections within the jack are loose from everyday wear and tear (use).

If the jack is loose from the board and it needs to be resoldered or replaced if the jack is worn out.
