My Janome overlock is a MYLOCK 434D You do not list this above. It seems that something to do with the No. 1 bottom looper could be the problem. The thread in the eye of the needle appears to magically come out of the eye...... and is still usually through the loop at the left hand end of this needle arm and is still unbroken......... have put a seperate thread through the eye of the needle and wiggled it about so the needle/eye is intact..... just like magic the thread is no longer through the eye of this particular looper and so no chain is formed. I was trying to use the 4 needles to sew as well as overlock, and as no chain decided to go back to the 3 needles.... have re threaded lots and lots of times and still have only managed to get a short 'chain' then puff..... back to no chain..... any suggestions. It is probably an older model but not an over used overlocker, I just haven't used for a while. Any suggestions before I go mad?
