Hie,
I am a Malawian (Central Africa) Boy age 19. I bought a second hand Toshiba Satelite A60_Pentium 4 from a dealer who happened to be an ICT expert. He told me the PC have a built in wireless internet card but since I bought it from him it never attracted signal from a broadband. He told me I have to but an external moderm which I did (light wave fax moderm) but the problem still persisted. Does it mean he removed the card or such PC don't have the facility. Pliz assist.
I think you are a little confused, your laptop may have a wireless card internally, but you need a wireless broadband or cable router for the wireless adapter to pick up a signal.
A fax modem cannot be wireless and cannot be broadband as you cannot fax using a broadband connection.
Assuming you have a broadband connection you will need a wireless modem/ router or roter connected to a broadband modem, not a standard 56k dialup modem as they aren't wireless or broadband.
