I have a renault kangoo 2007 ( mexican van ), and few times cut off, why ? I don't know, can you help me please
Some times push the van and work fine ( one day or two days )
and some times start with the switch, and work fine few days, after that same problem, my van is manual tranny.

A lot of Renaults have a red connector in the engine bay with a 3 prong solenoid. It is hard to determine where yours is considering the lack of year. Renaults do have a cut off solenoid as do many vehicles.

Just had exactly the same problem with my Kangoo, the bolt had come loose on the bottom crank pulley and the alternator belt came off, unfortunately, as I have found out, this allows the cam belt pulley to move on the shaft and the timing will have slipped and this almost certainly causes damage to valves, pistons etc. I'm just about to strip mine down to find the damage. Not good news but hope it helps to find the problem. Fraser.
