Topped up the toner & developer but it gives black copy & toner light keeps on blinking

Definately check and see if you are getting the motor current from the motor driver board and main pcb, before buying it. That should do the trick

Set-up for this copier sure isn't well-documented. We just got ours working today, found out how to add the toner by following the instructions here: https://www.businessneedz.com/Manuals/ar168s_setup.pdf (yes, it lists a different model number, but the instructions worked, and were linked from the ar-208d product page from the supplier)

U better change the developer and drum for which the life must have expired
SOURCE: In sharp 5316-toner is not transferring from toner cartridge to developer unit , copy is light .
Most likely need to replace the developer
Have the service people set the machine to add toner(per pixelcount) and test run it for a day or two. If this works it means the sensor in the developer unit that tells the machine to add toner from the cartridge is bad. If that is the case replace the sensor. It sounds like the machine is not adding toner to itself. Have them also test the toner motor.
