Where is the cigarette lighter fuse located in a 97 buick century?

I am trying to charge my GPS with my cigarette lighter socket. However it seems like it isn't working. I am thinking it might just be a fuse. I need to know where the fuse is.

Cigarette lighter socket came out, no charging

You probably pulled the wiring plug off the back of the socket. Or the fuse went when the socket came out.

I have a 1999 Buick Century. When I plug my GPS power adapter into the cigarette lighter outlet, I blow the fuse. ---Can you suggest a solution? ---How many amps are in that...

Probably a 15 to 20 amps..If you use the cigarette lighter does it also blow the fuse ,you may have a short in the circuit..It should be able to handle the GPS..Dont increase the fuse size, you can cause bigger problems

Fuse keeps blowing.even after i replaced the cig. Lighter why

Main cause could be something stuck in the lighter socket. Sometimes, the ends of the car charger for a cell phone of GPS will separate, leaving the end in the socket itself. Placing the cigarette lighter back int he socket while there's something already in the socket will cause you to blow a fuse.

When using wire in car, Garmin won't turn on, it starts, shows a low battery sign and shuts down. Was working fine on recent trip. It seems no power is reaching GPS. Nuvi 765T

Most likely the fuse in the charger plug has blown. The plug that goes into the cigarette lighter socket has a ring near the end. On most chargers it's silver but some of them are black. If you unscrew this ring the plug comes apart. Be careful not to lose any parts. You'll see the fuse in there. Replace it and it should be ok.
The other possibility is that the cigarette lighter socket is not working. You can check that easily enough by trying something else in it.

My garmin charges with my computer but stopped charging in the car

The most obvious answer is a possible blown fuse in the cigarette lighter socket or the in the tip of the charger plug. Most charger plug fuses are accessed by unscrewing the metal tip. Check both for good fuses.

If this doesn't solve the problem, make sure the points of contact between the charger, cradle and GPS are all free of dirt and grime. Don't forget to vacuum the cigarette lighter socket - especially if it is used as a lighter, too.

The cradle no longer charges the garmin in my vehicle. It's not charging anymore. Nuvi 750

Sometimes, if the Garmin GPS battery is allowed to fully discharge, it would require charging directly via USB cable connected to a PC or Mac before it would accept a charge for the cigarette lighter again. Try connecting this way for 4 - 8 hours or more before going forward.

Check the cigarette lighter plug in another "known good" lighter socket / vehicle to help rule out a defective socket. A socket without power indicates anything from needing to change a "simple to replace" fuse - or a bigger problem - damaged wiring in the vehicle (if the socket is used to light cigars & cigarettes - vacuum the socket out to remove ash and tobacco that may collect inside). Trying the GPS elsewhere helps eliminate possible problems with the socket. If it doesn't work elsewhere, depending on the plug that goes into the socket, it too may have a built-in fuse. Check the plug for an exposed fuse - or see if the tip unscrews to provide access to a fuse inside. If unsure, the tech Support people at Garmin are a great source for free help.

Lastly, dirt or grime on the "cradle to GPS" connection or "cable to cradle" connection could be causing the failed connection. In short - carefully inspect all points of connection and remove any deposits found.
