I found this solution on the PROSCAN website. www.oncorpus.com.In the customer support section, under manuals for you model of television. I hope this information helps you with your problem. Press MENU on the front panel or on the remote control and then use the up and down arrows to select the AUDIO menu.Press the enter button to enter the function.
1. Use the up and down arrows to select what you want to adjust in the AUDIO menu.
2. Press ENTER button to select it and then use the right and left arrows to adjust
3. When you are satisfied with your adjustment, press MENU to exit the main menu.

You need to look at part number on the board assembly first, not all 19LA20Q use the same manufacturer of the inverter, once you have have the P/N, then you can go on EBAY or www.lcdparts.net. I would estimate from $30~50.

SOURCE: how do I hook up a DVD player to a proscan 32 inch

Hello,

to connect your TV to your DVD, you will be needing a RCA wire (Yellow, white and Red wire). The yellow stands for video (visual/display), while the read and white stands for audio (sound).

Look at the back of your DVD, look out for Video Out, connect the yellow wire there. Also look out for Audio Out L & R, connect the white and red wire there.

Then turn the back of your TV, you will find Video, and Audio IN, Connect the other part of the wires from the DVD to the DVD, that is, Video for video and audio for audio.

Once you have connected the wires, turn on your TV, and your DVD player, press source on your TV remote to AV, and you will see your DVD displaying on your TV.

That's to hook up your DVD to your TV. Follow instructions carefully and you won't have any problem.

I have a Proscan 50" TV and the color is fading on the left side. Would I need to replace any tubes or, is it safe to say that the TV will need to be replace?
sounds like the left side of t-con board is failing and theyre cheap to replace approx 15 quid. or psu which is only about 30. worth fixing if the screen is not cracked or broken

audio Ok, means it main digital board too. Sounds like Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

Color on screen is green
The t con board o the tv is faulty. Normally in all the tvs bellow 32 inch the tcon board is integrated to the lcd panel. so you have to go for a new lcd panel. It would a costly repairing.

Ghosting and very dark mostly orange screen
The LCD Panel is defective. The problem is the T-con board that is used to decode the signal from the main board to the LCD Panel. The only way to fix it is to replace the whole LCD Panel or T-con board if possible. The T-con will cost about 1/10 of the price as the LCD panel but except for a few new models, the T-con is not available. The LCD Panel is very expensive (usually from $600-700 for a 32" Sony).

The reason is that Sony makes the T-cons for each individual TV with different specs to match that of the LCD panel because of the low threshold for error between the LCD Panel and the T-con.
