I have aquarius+ wf740..... when I switch machine on the wash enhance is flashing and power on/off is solid. Once I click any button the wash enhance stops flashing However the buttons do nothing on off won't turn machine off the main dial program select works only. If I leave the machine it keeps running test....the drum spins, door locks etc. Now I have checked outlet and also blown into pump switch after filling drum with water....it empties. Checked all connections on PCB and front display they're good... also checked front panel buttons are being push properly and done continuity test on the actual switches...all OK. I cannot locate heater element though. Any suggestions as to problem as the test seems to run fine though it doesn't fill with water I Dont know if that would be part of the test cycle. Obviously front panel buttons work as when pressed the flashing wash enhance stops.

Thank you for providing detail in your question and typing in coherent sentences, you are the first person today!

As you have checked basically everything the best option is to get a quote for a fixed price repair. You may well have a faulty control module, these are expensive to replace and require specialist tools to program the replacement.

Hotpoint wf740 aquarius 1400 v noisy banging during spin = dust

It could be a broken drum restraint spring, or a worn or broken. or loose shock absorber.
To check the springs, remove the top cover, and you will see the springs.
Another possibility is the concrete weight could be broken or loose.
You need to remove the lower rear panel of washer to check the shockers and concrete weight.

Thankyou.

How do you change brushes on a hotpoint aquarius washing machine

I have a Hotpoint Aquarius WF740. This does have brushes. Tilt the washing machine backwards & look underneath. The brushes can be seen on the motor housing, they are secured by two screws each.

Hotpoint wf740 washing machine

An F-05 error message means that the pressure switch is jammed on empty or a problem with pump.

The fault is associated with drain out (pump blocked or restricted in some way).

Small panel at rear of machine reveals the pump, pull of the two pipes (Plastic clips hard to get off, slide them sideways), remove wire and unclip pump from base of machine by lifting locking tab and sliding to the left, pump can then easily be cleaned.

Sounds like water pressure could be low or inlet pipe is kinked.

F04: possible filling or water level problem. Check water inlet pipe (or shut-off valve), or the outlet pipe, or the pump or pump filter if accessible (check for blockages or foreign objects). Also could be the water valve solenoid weak, causing filling to be too slow.

F05: possible draining (pumping off) problem, check the pump filter, or pump, outlet pipe, or U-BEND.
