How can I clear the Lanier 6112 "used toner" on the display?

Very Common problem on that model Problem with the toner hopper assembly. Sometimes the green handle metal pin is out of position. The plastic green handles break a lot also.

If the toner hopper assembly is not broken the mylars inside of it have fallen off over time. The toner supply unit needs to be replaced.

Try removing the toner cartridge and gently cleaning the electrical contacts for the sensor. Sometimes they get toner residue on them and give false readings.

U14 is a user code for waste toner full.
Open front cover and you will see a clear plastic bottle at the bottom of the machine; lift this out and dispose carefully of waste toner (do not reuse). When fitting back into machine, make sure that inside of bottle is clean as the detection sensor looks through the bottle to see if it is empty and if toner is covering inside of bottle, the message will remain.

It might be waste toner that is full.Remove the drum unit by releasing the leaver and pull the drum unit out.There is a plastic plug on the side of the drum.Remove the plug and remove all the waste toner from the drum.Do not use that toner again in the machine.Reinstall the drum unit and lock in place.

Set the maintenance counter:perform test command 72.Press C - interrupt key - 0 - interrupt key - 7 - 2 - PSW.The currently set maintenance cycle code is displayed and the ready lamp lights up.After the ready lamp lights up anter the set code corresponding to the maintenance cycle mode.0 = 10000 sheets ; 1= 15000 sheets ;2=30000 sheets.See the toner full detection part and remove the wastw box,change it.Perfor the test command 14.This command used to cancel troubles other then U1 and U2.After cancellation of trouble the test command is also cancelled automatically,also used to cancel toner full detection the maintenance lamp blinking.

Hello sir; To read the service code , just press "8" and "clear/stop"in differen time, normally you can reset by turn machine off and on.

The maintenance time is flashing.To be use the service enter code C-0-0-C or C -Interrupt-0-Interrupt,then press 20(maintenance counter clear) and 72 maintenance preset counter setting for a new value.
