There are other things that can cause the image to go away besides the lamp, like a color wheel, a ballast or a dmd board. Replacing the lamp is very easy you just need to open the back of the Tv, unscrewing everything, take out the housing, unscrew it take out the lamp, put in the new one and screw everything again, also make sure that you close everything perfectly because if you don't the lamp might not light up.

My panasonic tv model pt 61lcz7 has turning on problam it takes 10 to 30 minuts to turn on please advise. mohahmmed

Your lamp needs changed, after removing the lamp it might still, look good, but it is bad. After a while the bulb builds up a internal resistance, and it makes the TV hard to start, and then it gets to the point where it will not come on at all. You can go to www.partstore.com and get a new lamp, and that should take care of your problem.

MY PANASONIC PT-61LCZ7 NEEDS A LAMP. I AM IN ANTARIO CANADA, WHERE CAN I GET A REPLACEMENT BULB, WHAT IS THE SPECIFICATION OF THE BULB.

part number for the lamp unit is:
LFS4000PA1EB It has a suggested list price of 605 dollars and is not customer replaceable----it also requires TECH approval from Panasonic to order----this is one of the 2007 models with a led type lamp--have to dismantle set to replace--no shops here will do it in the home---lamp wholesales for under 300 but has substantial core charge---they rebuild all these.

I hope this helps you---You can also Google the model number and I think you will find some used ones but no new ones.
