Try doing this:

Self-check indication only:

Produce TV reception screen, and while pressing [VOLUME ( - )] button on the main unit, press [OK] button on the remote control

for more than 3 seconds.

Self-check indication and forced to factory shipment setting:

Produce TV reception screen, and while pressing [VOLUME ( - )] button on the main unit, press [MENU] button on the remote

control for more than 3 seconds.

9.1.2. Exit
Disconnect the AC cord from wall outlet.
This is straight out of the service manual.

SOURCE: no picture just av1

If the cat sat on the remote, it is likely it changed the tv to AV1. Just find the AV button on the remote and press it again and again. It should cycle through the different AV channels your TV has - my TV has 6 AVs, 2 HDMI and a PC channel so if yours is anything like mine, you may need to press several time to get back to your Sky/freesat/virgin box. Alternatively, some HDMI connected kit just needs turning off and on. That then sends a signal to the TV which changes the TV automatically. For example, my Blu-ray player does that.
Experience - I have a cat that sits on my remote and does the same thing!!

How do I reverse an upsidedown picture on my SEIKI TV

To reverse an upside-down picture on your SEIKI TV, you can try the following steps:

Press the "Menu" button on your SEIKI TV remote.

Use the arrow keys on your remote to navigate to the "Picture" menu.

Scroll down to the "Picture Rotation" option and select it.

Use the arrow keys to rotate the picture until it is right-side up.

Press the "OK" button on your remote to save the changes and exit the menu.

If the above steps don't work or if you can't find the "Picture Rotation" option in the menu, you can also try physically rotating the TV screen by 180 degrees. This may be necessary if the TV was mounted upside down or if it was accidentally rotated.

Keep in mind that the location of the "Picture Rotation" option may vary depending on your specific SEIKI TV model. If you can't find the option, consult the TV's user manual or contact SEIKI customer support for further assistance.

Hi, I was looking at TV and I sat on the remote and the TV went black but, now I can't get the picture back. the sound was on and I could still change the channels but now I can't get anything

simply setting on your remote would not break your tv. I would say it is the remote They do sell remotes for all tv sets they are called universal remotes and are easy to pick up at wal-mart or radio shack. Have the model# and brand of tv written down so they can match one up. I would take the remote with me as well for the frequency # to matcxh one up. Try to reset the remote first. if that does not work go with a universal

When I turn on the TV I see a very large black box and tv is ok behind How do I get rid of Black box area?

This sounds like one of closed caption features, there will be a CC button or menu option to adjust Closed
Captioning - you will need to select the "off" choice and it should remove the box. Once my TV had a similar problem...activated by my cat stepping on the remote.

Dog steps on remote and a black screen pops up in the middle of screen but you can see the picture on te outside of the black box. Jvc 32' d-series tv the remote is a jvc rm-c252

Sounds like a closed caption box or a pip box, if not try all the buttons on the remote one by one and lastly try to reset to factory settings if the option is present in menu settings.
