Download iTunes from Apple for free. ITunes is the program needed to use an iPod. The download is safe and will not give your computer a virus. Plug the white connector cord that came with your iPod into the iPod and into the USB drive on your computer. Open iTunes if it does not automatically open when you plug the iPod into your computer. ITunes should automatically recognize your iPod. Unplug your iPod from the computer. Move the toggle reset button at the top to "hold" three times.
