My computer dosent reeds my ipod

b> IPods are the most popular MP3 player used. The Apple product is compatible with Mac computers and PCs as long as the appropriate programs are used. In order for an iPod to be used, it must be recognized by your computer. At times you may need to do a bit of troubleshooting, but overall, this is an easy task when these steps are followed.

Download iTunes from Apple for free. ITunes is the program needed to use an iPod. The download is safe and will not give your computer a virus. Plug the white connector cord that came with your iPod into the iPod and into the USB drive on your computer. Open iTunes if it does not automatically open when you plug the iPod into your computer. ITunes should automatically recognize your iPod. Unplug your iPod from the computer. Move the toggle reset button at the top to "hold" three times. Then hold the center button and play button to restart the iPod. Repeat steps one through four. If iTunes does not recognize your iPod, unplug the iPod from your computer. Let the battery die. Charge the iPod and plug it into your computer. The computer should recognize the iPod.

There are many reasons why iTunes will not recognize your iPod, whether it's dust or dirt blocking your dock connector or a system setting gone wrong. No matter what model iPod you have, here are a few suggestions for helping the problem of iTunes not recognizing iPod:
  1. Generally speaking, when iTunes does not recognize iPhone, it may have something to do with the version of iTunes. If you are using an old version of iTunes on your computer, it may not be capable of recognizing your iOS devices. So updating iTunes to the latest version is a fastest way to get the problem solved.
  2. If you are running iTunes in the latest version, but still can't get your iPod recognized, you may want to take a look at your computer, sometimes if your computer lacks necessary software, it might lead to the malfunction of iTunes.
  3. USB port on your computer can be another reason why iPod not recognized by iTunes. So you can try more than one USB port to see whether the USB port works well.
  4. Of course, your iPod may also be the cause of iTunes not recognizing iPod. At this moment, you can restart your iPod by holding the Sleep/Wake button and Home button at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then connect iPod to computer with USB cable again.
