Have you over filled it and tipped the karcher to one side that sometimes makes warter blow out the vents give it a good shake on its side then try again.

Mine does the same even with a small amount of water in bottle. Seems like a badly designed seal between bottle tube and head of machine. Blows water out of vents when machine is in various positions.

Yep, mine did the same and now out of guarantee. It's a bad design alright, where waste water enters the wrong canal as this is not sufficiently sealed. I have made myself a little hood with elastic on one end from a thick old towel on one end and I pull this over the louvre vents to catch any spray or drip. Guess you could easily use a white towling sock, which does the same thing. Change the water frequently. This works for me.

It is leaving windows and f oors streaky

Hi there, if it's anything like my WV50 - which we use for the shower - you'll find that it clogs up after some time and needs to be cleaned out. I've created a video that shows you how to open the head of the unit and clean out any obstructions.

In our case as we use it for the shower, it tends to get clogged with hair, shampoo and conditioner. You may well find that as you use yours for floors that there is also a similar problem.

All the best and I hope the video helps.

Why won't it switch off?

Because the switch is broken and stuck in the "on" position. Until you fix it all you can do is plug it in and out for operation. If you are handy you can take the switch out, make the repair of the broken part, and reuse.

They wanted 35 dollars for the switch on my Karcher power washer. Yeah, right!

Where's the serial number on the karcher WV window vacuum

Hi. I've just bought the karcher window vac wv50 & am having the same problem finding the serial No. I presume you want to register your product for the guarantee to be valid. I went online Karcher.co.uk & registered mine. You will note that when doing so it does not ask for a serial number but a model No. This is found on the side of box you got the item in (mine is just above the barcode) & it reads something like; 1.633-113.0. Hope you still have the box!

Will not turn off.

I had the same issue and after much exploring I discovered just a tiny bit of corrosion in the switch. To repair, remove the squegee section, and water bottle, so you just have the base unit. Then remove the bottom plastic cover and unfasten all the screws. Now remove the switch. With a fine Exacto knife and a magnifyer remove the switch and open it. Check it for corrosion this is whats causing it to stay on. Carefully scrape out the corrosion with the Exacto tool and then carefully reassemble. The light should switch off. You can also test it before reassembly just to make sure all the corrosion is gone.
