In my 2007 Saturn Vue there is what I think is an air pump which is cracked that one port is not connected to anything.

There is a electric motor that pumps washer fluid . Located in the bottom of the washer fluid tank .
Wash Operation (Front and Rear Wipers)
The front and rear washer systems use the same windshield washer fluid pump. When either the front or rear wiper is in the washer position voltage will be supplied to one side of the windshield washer fluid pump (depending on whether it is front or rear), while the other side of the pump is grounded.
At this point, the windshield washer fluid pump sprays solvent onto the windshield. When the front or rear washer is activated, the BCM receives an input from the switch that is activated. The BCM will control the wipers while in the WASH mode. The BCM will control either the front wiper relay or the rear wiper relay to turn on the wipers. The windshield wipers operate at low speed for 3 swipes and returns to the park position.

When turning on the washers do you hear the motor run ? Have some one try it while you listen at the washer fluid tank ! These pump motors do go bad .
turn OFF the ignition.
Disconnect the harness electrical connector of the windshield washer fluid pump.
Connect a test lamp from the windshield washer pump control circuit to a good ground .
Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
Press the front washer switch.
Does the test lamp illuminate?
YES or NO !

Why is my power steering reservoir loosing fluid, what would cause the fluid to be "foamy" on top, and what should I use to fill it with?

spray down pump and hoses with degreaser and wash off. After its dry, use recomended fluid to fill. Start engine and turn steering wheel all the way left, and all the way right a couple of times. This will blead the air from the system. Now shut off and check fluid. Make sure it is full. Now drive the car down the road and make turns, and drive it back and check fluid level. If its still foamy and not leaking fluid, your pump ma be bad.

No brakes, see fluid leaked out, can't see from where, press while engine running and it won't build up pressure, turn engine off, and it will build up pressure

Air in system can try to bleed brakes but leak needs to be found can wash fluid off with water and let dry add fluid and pump brakes see where fluid is dripping

Windshield washers not pumping water to windshield

The most common problem I find in this season, is having summer 32 deg. F freezing windshield wiper fluid in the tank rather than -20 deg. F freezing windshield wiper fluid.

Try to warm up the car by parking it in a heated garage until the windshield wiper fluid thaws. Then, try to use it all up, and add the 'winter' vs. the 'summer' formula of windshield wiper fluid.

If this does not solve the problem, the pump might be burnt out, in my experience.

You should hear a humming sound as you depress the button for windshield wiper fluid inside of the car.

Good luck on this repair.

Steering fluid is leaking

you will have to wash it all down clean then fill fluid, now start the car and turn wheel a few time and try to pinpoint the leak, is it the pump or aline. once it clean you should be able to find your leak ,good luck. hope this helps.

LAWN SPRAYER PUMP WILL NOT SUCTION

Disconnect the sprayer boom hose from Y splitter, and dd another Y splitter, then reconnect the boom hose to one side of the added splitter. Add a washing machine supply (female/female) to the other side of new Y. now attach garden hose to washing machine line and turn on the water faucet with pump running. This will charge and/or backwash the pump. Once pressure is achieved, turn on the boom and check for fluid movement, then turn the washer supply valve on Y to off, and disconnect. The pump should be primed and be cycling fluid from tank and back to tank. Ready to shift to boom for use. I leave the washer hose and assembly zip-tied onto sprayer for easy future priming, and pump wash between uses.

I NEED TO REPLACE SOME OF THE TRANSMITION FLUID THAT LEAKED OUT OF MY ROPER WASHING MACHINE WHEN I LEFT IT ON ITS SIDE? WHAT TYPE CAN I USE

any automobile automatic trans fluid would do fine but i am not sure how you are going to replace it.the fluid you lost when it was turned on it's side came out the vent hole on the top.unless you lost a huge amount of fluid,i would not bother.i have seen 20yr old whirlpool's(roper manufacturer)that have lost 2/3rd's of their fluid due to a bad seal run with no trans troubles at all.if you only lost a pint or less, the mach will be fine.good luck

I NEED TO CHANGE THE DOOR SEAL ON A HOTPOINT WF 250 WASHING MACHINE. I HAVE THE SEAL BUT JUST NEED SOME DIRECTION THANKYOU

turn off at mains
undo clamp that holds seal to cabinet and peel seal away from cabinet.
take worktop off
undo clamp that holds seal to tub and seal will then come away
on new seal, lubricate the slot in the seal that goes onto lip of tub with washing up fluid
starting at top, insert slot in seal onto lip of tub and work you way round in both directions till seal is entirely on tub.
replace clamp
fit seal to cabinet (this is easy) and refit outer clamp.
test on rinse cycle as water level is higher. water will foam till washing up fluid is washed away
