What are the settings for a TEC b-572 to make it print correctly, I am using win7 drivers

The software uses the windows drivers to print plant stick labels, the first one prints fine, then the printing moves up, it is like it isn't recognizing the gap. label is 4 in wide and .6 high

The printer knows nothing at all about labels, and isn't looking for any gap. I think you specified the wrong settings in whatever software you're printing the labels from - something in "Page layout" or "Format" or possibly "Printer Settings". You need to tell the computer software exactly what labels you're using, or exactly what your label specifications are.

Printing on TEC b-572 pauses

DEFAULT SPEED IS 9600 bauds, 8 data bits , 1 stop bit no parity.
Un fortunateley the best spped avaible is 19200 bds.
The pausing is due to too much data transfered trough the serial port.
To sole this, increse tehe baudrate and use internal fonts.

I am using a tec b572 in Win7, it prints fine except after the first label the print creeps up the label, so they aren't centered

As a metter of fact, yes there is a cell detecting the gap.
You must turn the Green knob so that the detecting cell is on the notch. You must program the height of the label and in the driver you must give the size of the notch in the Support Tab.
D'ont forget to alse specify if it's direct or thermal transfer.

Tec 572 printer gives "no ribbon" error with ribbon installed

You have to set the ribbon type to be "non-transmissive" for black transfer film.
To set the ribbon type, turn the printer off. Then press and hold the "feed" and "pause" buttons while turning on the power. The printer will now be in diagnostic mode - you can page through the menus until it says "ribbon type"
Pick the correct type and press the "pause" key to save the value. Then turn off the printer and turn it on again normally. The ribbon error goes away.

B572 Tec

Hi,
Normally the printer does not need an upgrade only the software driving it.
If your software uses a windows driver then download the latest driver at this link. DRIVER
