That would be the "Pump" button on the control panel. When you press it, your dehumidifier display should indicate "PUMP", and the unit should start pumping water out that little port at the center rear of the dehumidifier.

Alternatively, you could stand the dehumidifier on a counter and direct your waste water out the larger hose connection into a sink.

I personally carry it (more than five gallons per day) upstairs to the laundry, because it's distilled water - the softest water you can get. Works GREAT in the washing machine. 8) 8) 8)

SOURCE: water bucket

If yours has a button/switch to turn on a pump, that will redirect the water to the drain. Sllee

same thing happend to me. I wasnt sure if it was the settings or me. I unplugged it for awhile, read thru the instructions turned it back on setting it according to the instructions and it began to work again. Not sure if it had to do with the unit being off for awhile or I entered the correct settings. Im just happy it began to run again

Why would the system keep running, all the time, filling up bucket, then leaking onto floor? What is my next step?

There is supposed to be an auto-shutoff float in the bucket to prevent overfilling of the bucket. You have either removed it or it is defective. The fact that it runs constantly has more to do with the humidity and the setting that you have the unit set to, Obviously there is adequate humidity in the space or the bucket would not fill. You need to look for, find, and repair the shut-off float, or, if possible, some units allow you to connect a drain hose either to the bucket or directly to the unit to drain the water to a drain. If you choose this option, remember that the hose must remain lower than the top of the bucket or it will not drain properly and the bucket will still overflow.

Why does the power light on my dehumidifier flash quickly?

without the model number I cant be 100% sure , but due to your description of the last thing u did , Id say the light is flashing indicating that the water catch bucket is not installed correctly back as it was before , most units have a safety that wont allow a unit to operate unless the water catch bucket is installed and M/T as this would allow it to dump water to the floor if it were not

How to make unit drain through hose, instead of filling bucket?

Assuming you have a hose connected to the bucket for drainage, it is necessary that the end of the hose be lower than the top level of the bucket or the bucket will fill before the hose drains. I see many people who have their units on the floor and run a hose up into a sink and wonder why the bucket fills. Gravity works.....if you cannot find a lower place to drain the water then you must raise the unit up on a table or stand of some sort to get the bucket higher than the drain.

How do I get water to come out the hose instead of the bucket?

a special adaptor is required from the mfg to allow this it bypasses the internal passageway to internal bucket and has a hose connection to what a normal garden style hose can be connected and directed over to a floor drain or pump pit
this method still requires normal maintence and cleaning thought as it can stop up too

Hi, I have a Haier HD306 Dehumidifier. I'm having an issue of the water dripping onto the floor. There is no crack or leak coming from the bucket itself. The leak seems to be coming from the back...

Hi,
When my unit did that, I found that it was because the drain tube was plugged with lint and/or dirt...
Run a large tooth pick or wire up inside the drain and see if the water doesn't start running right out of there...

Can I hook this up so itd empies directly into the floor drain?

yes, there should be a bucket that fills with water, on the outside of the bucket, there should be a cap you can screw off, once off you can attach a garden hose to that bucket and the other end goes in the drain.

Attached a pump to drain collected water. The

the water should still collect into the tank. the dehumidifier had a float switch that shut the unit off when the tank is full. In turn it should have a second switch, probably a float switch that turns the pump on and off so that the pump doesnt continue to run when there is no moisture in the tank

Bucket fills instead of going down the drain

You may have an unintentional trap in the line (an up and down up and down. Hose has to lay flat on floor to drain.

Danby continuous water flow will not work on a dehumidifier it still fills the bucket

Please try the following:
1) Remove the bucket.
2) You will notice a round outlet/spout where the water drips from into the bucket.
3) Remove the plug from the backside of the unit (you will now see a hole to the bucket area).
4) Feed a hose through the hole from the back and attach the end of the hose to the round outlet/spout.
5) Place the other end of the hose on a floor drain outlet.
6) Put the bucket back into the unit.

When the unit is turned on, the water will now flow through the hose instead (into the floor drain). When you want to use the bucket again to capture the water, you will need to remove the hose.

I hope that helps.
