There are a few things you can try to avoid the Mamba from getting stuck on your steps.

you are probably not getting enough water pressure thru the hoses. Check to see that the water is flowing strongly thru the hoses.

Did you switch the wireless switch underneath off? Try that and you should be able to use the Mamba 2012 wired.
