Top thread keeps getting wrapped around bobbin case on LX-3125

When I lower the needle to pick up the bobbin thread, the top thread keeps getting wrapped around the bobbin case.
I have looked on Brother.com for a solution and there are no related issues on their site.
I am desperate at this point.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

When it gets wrapped up - it's because you are turning the Wheel to many times - the bobbin should make a little more than half a turn and then you should be able to get it up by pusling the upper thread.
If the upper thread do not cache the under trhread - then try to change the needle

good luck

You should hold the end of the thread coming through the needle until the thread has grasped the bobbin thread.

Needle not catching the bottom thread juki DDL5530

Make sure needle is not bent and fully inserted. Top thread is not binding (over tension) or snagging on the spool.

This has a transparent bobbin cover? If yes manually advance machine with the hand wheel, keep an eye on the bobbin case, do you see the bobbin case (hook) rotate?

As the needle starts upward, there should be a loop of top thread form. The bobbin case hook captures this loop and wraps it around the bobbin case.

MY THREAD GETTING WRAPPED AROUND THE BOBBING WHEN TRYING TO SEW THE TOP THREAD WRAPPING AROUND THE BOBBING CASE AND DRAGGING CAUSING THE TOP THREAD TO BREAK ?

It sounds like the lower shuttle is out of place. You should be able to take out the bobbin case and unlatch the shuttle. It will probably be in 2 pieces. Clean out the dust behind it and replace the shuttle pieces. You may have to fiddle with it a little to get them back in place. Then you can test it by manually turning the wheel. Make sure the bobbin is placed into the bobbin case and that the bobbin turns in the direction that you pull the thread.

Good luck.

Needle thread wrapping around bobbin case.

Hello Crystal, I also have had problems in the past with drop-in bobbins . I had to experiment with different model bobbins . The cause I found was due to the bobbin was not tall enough in the drop-in bobbin case. When sewing , the bobbin would rock in the bobbin case and the top thread would get caught on the bobbin instead of going over the top of the bobbin, causing the rats nest that you described. I would recommend finding a taller bobbin to fit in the bobbin case. There are about five different bobbins that will fit in there, but only one that will work properly. Knowing the exact model number of your machine would be a great help to finding the correct bobbin.

Top thread isnt picking up the bobbin thread. when i crank the wheel counter clockwise the top thread actually wraps around the bobbin case. what am i doin wrong? im a first timer.

Use a fresh needle and make sure that you place the flat side to the rear when you insert it. Use a coin to turn the needle screw. Also, get a free downloaded manual from www.singerco.com

My Brother LX 3125 does not sew zig zag stitches correctly. It zigzags about an inch then straight stitches an inch. I have changed the thread, needle, bobbin ?????

Mine did the same thing. The needle is probably to high. Do not insert the needle all the way to the top. Lower it a bit and it should zig zag!

Top thread keeps fraying and shredding

indicates the needle hook timing is off and the hook is penetrating the thread instead of picking it up cleanly
make sure that the needle is in correctly with the thread groove facing the right way
