SOURCE: soap drawer is filled with water

Our 2 year old washer just started seeing this problem. After removing the detergent dispenser drawer from the washer, cleaning it and cleaning the slot it came from we stopped seeing water retention.

My new LG washer always has water in the soap dispenser, bleach dispenser, and fabric softener dispenser after the cycle has finished. Is this normal?

Mine too!! Very annoying, especially since the water then drains down onto to floor and has actually made the door hinges stiff! I just use powdered bleach now.

Mould in water inlet assembly how to remove this assembly for cleaning. the fabric softner try never gets drained. Has a three valve inlet sysrem.

Pull the dispenser drawer out until it stops then push down the release tab and pull the drawer out completely. Separate the parts then immerse it in hot water with bleach and give it good a scrub with an old toothbrush.

The dispenser drawer cavity does not need to be removed for cleaning. Otherwise, you have to remove the top panel, console, toe panel, and the front panel. Removal of the front panel requires the removal of the door lock/switch assembly and the boot be separated completely from the front panel opening. Use hot water to loosen the mold then spray it with household cleaner with bleach. Let it sit for a couple minutes before starting to scrub the molds off.

Yes the system is cloghed. Pull the detergent drawer out and clean the drawers housing. try using some bleach. It allways helps.

BE ADVICED: after using bleach run quick wash cycle on without any load, it's just to get rid of all bleech remains and not to damage your clothes

Lg wm1812cw front load washer

We had the same problem- for us it was because we were mixing laundry booster (Oxyclean) with liquid soap in the dispenser. It seems the water running through the tray had insufficient pressure to properly flush the tray out, so residue accumulated on the back & underside of the tray. Our water pressure is good here, and we don't use a water softener or filters that can reduce the pressure. Unfortunately it seems to just be a bad design of the soap dispenser tray.

We also had a problem with water/bleach leaking from our soap dispenser- when we used the bleach compartment in the dispenser we got leaks dripping onto the floor from behind the front cover of the washing machine. It was running down the front of the washer behind the front cover & coming out onto the floor. The repair guy said this was because the dispenser tray was pulled out too far, but the reason we were pulling the soap tray out so far was because the bleach compartment was too far back in the tray to use if we didn't. Now we just leave the drawer partially closed & pour the bleach directly into the soap compartment along with the soap.

Water in soap holder after washing.

my washer is about 1 year old. It started leaving water in all the the compartments, soap, bleach and softner. I tried everything also. Nothing seemed to work. I finally took the hoses off the back of the machine, and the cold water hose screen was clogged up going into the machine. I cleaned all the screens and haven't had that problem again. I think there wasn't enough water pressure to flush out the containers. I dont think its gravity or suction, its water pressure. unless you get a blast of water into these compartments, there will always be water left in these containers.
