SOURCE: washing machine won't drain and spin after rinse

It sounds like you have a blocked pump. I have read that the pump is connected directly to the motor. You will need some tools at hand before you try to disconnect the pump from the motor.
Make sure that you disconnect the machine from the power supply. Tilt the machine back to access the pump from the bottom of the machine. It will be connected to the motor with clips. Have some towels ready to mop up the water.
I hope this works for you.

Samsung SW60ASP washing machine won't spin or drain

5E is a Drain Error Code.

This can be caused by a clogged filter in the washing machine or a blocked drain line in your house. There can be a few other reasons, but these are the most likely.

If you would like to try to repair it yourself, then follow these instructions:

UNPLUG the washing machine. Repeat, UNPLUG the washing machine!!!

Check the filter in the back of the washing machine on the bottom right-hand corner. Place a shallow dish under the filter. Loosen the filter to drain out the water. Remove the filter and clean it out. Look at where you removed the filter and you will see the water pump impeller. Make sure it can move and isn't locked up. Remove any debris from the impeller.

Replace the filter, and plug in the machine. Try a short wash cycle.
Check for leaks around the filter.

My washer did fill, but won't spin or drain now and the door won't open

Hi tragz,

If it can't drain, it won't spin. There may be something preventing the pump from draining in the Pump filter. You will need to clean it.

Please follow my below Tip on how to do it:

ACCESS, DRAIN & CLEAN THE DRAIN PUMP FILTER

Hi donna sarmie,

It could be your machine is stuck on the drain cycle, and won't continue to spin, because the drain filter is clogged.

You may need to clean the Drain Filter, please find my Tip below on the procedure:

Wash cycle stops and light on the extra dirty symbol lights up

This is might be the drain filter. When the drain filter is clogged, the machine won't empty itself of water.

Candy has a troubleshooting webpage that lists many possible problems/solutions:

http://service.candy-domestic.co.uk/fault-finder/FaultFinder.aspx?Section=11

If you do try to check the filter, keep in mind that opening the drain filter will yield gallons of water on your floor, especially if your machine does not have the drain hose next to the filter opening. You'll need to have some way of transferring the water ready before opening the filter.

Good luck from Detroit, MI.

My LG washing machine model-fuzzy logic WF-s6607tc, is not spinning

The filter for your empty pump is probably clogged. The machine can't drain the water in the alloted time because it is draining to slowly through the clogged filter. The machine won't start the spin cycle if all the water hasn't been evacuated. You will need to find and clean out your empty pump filter (Probably behind a little door at the bottom of the machine.
