Check out the brand/manufacturer name and the serial number. Google out the contact number for the customer service for that brand/manufacturer and once you speak to them, provide them the serial number, they will answer your query to your expectation.

Luke, the serial number is located between the lugs at the 6 marker. You need to remove the wristband at that point to see it. The model number is located at the 12 marker.
mcdevito75 here, I just took a peak into my own Older Timex watch, even though it"s a ladies the model number was on the movement itself and only a 3 digit number. Since the older Timex watches were mass produced this is all you may have as far as serial numbers go, and Timex did all their own watches so a serial number may only be 3--4--5 digits long. Anyway, double check the entire watch with a magnifier glass for the serial number, then check inside the back cover and movement itself. Here is Timex contact info, 800-448-4639 if needed.
