The TV will be fine then all of a sudden it will have a high pitch ting(like i high pitch buzz) over everything that it is on. I have turned the equalizer all the way to each side to see if its the speaker and it does it on both. The weird thing is that it will be fine for a while and start to make the noise. I'll get use to the sound and then it will go away, then come back again? It is a HDTV and I have it hooked up to a standard definition cable box and tivo box. Could that be the problem?
According to the Samsung website: "The high pitched sound you hear is probably coming from the flyback transformer. The flyback transformer converts the relatively low voltage electricity that comes from the outlet in your home to the high voltage electricity needed to drive the cathode ray tube in your TV. It is not unusual for a flyback transformer to buzz softly when it operates. However, if the sound is loud and high pitched, it probably means the transformer is failing. To eliminate the sound, you will have to get your TV serviced."
The problem is not with the Audio. It is coming from the capacitators on the main PCB. A tech opened up our set and reproduced the noise by slightly moving the capaicators (with a stick of some sort). Instantly, the high-pitch ring started. This problem has since came back on thew new PCB and seems problematic with the type of TV/Samsung.
