Could be normal in a very hot kitchen. Two cycles per hour is not really abnormal. Check the condenser coil to see if there is a lot of dirt or pet air trapped in the coil.

Where is poweredge 1800 display led connector

http://www.dell.com/support/troubleshooting/us/en/19/KCS/KcsArticles/Print?he Embedded System Management (ESM) log - also called System Event Log (SEL) or hardware log - reports potential hardware problems in Dell PowerEdge servers. Sometimes, simply turning off the server and disconnecting it from the electrical outlet will remove the error message. Wait approximately 10 seconds, and then reconnect the power cable and restart the server.

Other times, you will need to clear the ESM log to remove the error message. For instance, error code SEL FULLindicates that you will need to clear the ESM log. (You will lose the server's event history.) There are different ways to clear the ESM log.

To use DSET to Clear the ESM Log
  1. Download and open the DSET utility.
  2. Click the plus (+) next to System, and then click the plus (+) next to Logs.
  3. Click ESM to highlight it.
  4. Click Clear ESM Log located in the upper-right corner of the page.
To use OpenManage Server Administrator (OMSA) to clear the ESM log
  1. Start OpenManage Server Administrator (OMSA).
  2. Log in to OMSA by entering your username and password, and then press Enter.
  3. Click the Logs tab, and then click Hardware.
  4. Click Clear Log located next to Options.
To use Dell IT Assistant to clear the ESM log
  1. Start IT Assistant.
  2. From the middle System Tree bar, select your server by clicking it.
  3. Click the Logs tab, and then click Clear Log in the upper-right corner of the page.
Find your Dell PowerEdge server model in the chart below for other ways to clear the ESM log:

Use the Log2Txt.exe utility to clear the ESM log:
  1. Start your server to the Log2Txt utility.
  2. When you see the ESM Log main menu appear, press 2 on your keyboard to select Clear ESM log.
  3. When the ESM Log main menu reappears, press 5on your keyboard to exit the utility.

Use the DRAC or ERA to clear the ESM log:
  1. Type the IP address of the Remote Access Controller (RAC) in the web browser address bar, and then press Enter.
  2. Log in to the RAC.
  3. Click the Logs tab, and then click Hardware.
  4. Click Clear Logs located in the upper-right corner of the page.

Use the program BMCCFG.exe to clear the ESM logs:
  1. Download and extract the Dell OpenManage Deployment Toolkit here.
  2. Go to x:\Dell\Toolkit\Tools, where x is your primary hard disk drive.
  3. Copy the file BMCCFG.exe to a bootable floppy disk.
  4. Start the server from the bootable floppy disk.
  5. At the command prompt, type bmcc - clearsel, and then press Enter.
The message "Clearing SEL" will display while the log clears.

Code PO401

Exhaust gas recirculation module check:

1. Note the Differential Pressure Feedback Exhaust Gas Recirculation (DPFE) sensor voltage through the scan tool or backprobe the Brown/Light Green (BN/LG) wire of the Exhaust Gas Recirculation System Module (ESM). Voltage should indicate a reading of 0.5-1.2 volts.

2. If the voltage of the DPFE sensor is out of range, low or high, disconnect the ESM and note that the voltage of the DPFE sensor circuit should indicate a reading of 5.0 volts.

3. If the DPFE sensor voltage is out of range connected and the reading shows 5.0 volts with the ESM disconnected, reconnect the ESM and verify that the Brown/White (BN/WH) wire shows a 5.0 volt reading and that the Grey/Red (GY/RD) wire shows to be a good ground, indicating a voltage of less than 0.1 volts. If these circuits check to be ok, replace the ESM due to a faulty DPFE sensor.

4. If the DPFE sensor voltage in step 1 is found to be ok, verify that both vacuum hoses to the ESM have full engine vacuum to them when it's running.

5. With the engine idling, backprobe the Brown/Pink (BN/PK) wire and hold it to ground. This should activate the Exhaust Gas Recirculation Vacuum Regulator (EVR) solenoid of the ESM. The EGR valve should open, the engine should run rough, and the DPFE sensor voltage should climb.

6. Replace the ESM for a faulty EGR valve, EVR solenoid, or DPFE sensor if the DPFE sensor or engine does not respond to ground activation of the BN/PK wire

The top of my refigerator is freezing in the back

Hi, the problem you are having is the defrost timer not going into defrost mode when the timer says to. They are normally located in the bottom back of the unit and will have a screw driver slot on it. It may be stuck in the off position. Turn it a click with a screwdriver and see if this starts the defrost mode and other problems. Is the evaporator fan in the freezer up and running? If not, this motor must be on. Keep me posted on this and we can get to the bottom of the problem.
Sincerely,

Samsung Cool Tech Dynamic not cooling properly

Alan if the power was off for less than 5 minutes the compressor high pressure went to the low side and the compressor just will not start. The thermal overload Klixon will click about every 8 or 9 minutes and the compressor will not start.
Unplug it for about 30 minutes and then plug it back to see if it lites off and runs correctly.
As for the control panel... (fingers crossed) hopefully it is a symtom of the compressor not starting. Again unplug it for 30 minues and restart it after that. It just may get things back to normal without any repair service.

I keep hearing water running into a tray underneath my refrigerator. Is this normal?

Yes it is normal, that is the sign that your refrigerator is running just fine.

When your refrigerator start running, you set the thermostat to a certain temperature, your refigerator will automatically shut off once it reaches the temperature you desired, that is giving the chance to rest your refrigerator for a while, during this shut off period, it will melt some ice, the water will go directly to the tray below your refrigerator. once the thermostat sense the the coldnest inside the refrigerator is slow vanished then the compressor will start again to attain a certain temperature.

that cycle keeps repeating that procedure

The freezer coils keep freezing up.

First check the defrost coil for continuity, it should be approx 22 ohms, if it is open then you have a problem with the defrost thermostat or the coil. If all is good at the defrost coil then check the 8hrmer 30 min timer located on my refigerator at front bottom left. You can see the revolving part of the timer through a hole, mark it with a pencil and see if it moves, if not replace.
