SOURCE: Canon pixma all in one mp500 error code 6A00

6A00 is a problem with the sheet feed unit.
Manually move the print head left and right, and turn the printer on/off. I would also inspect the rollers for ANY debris... it can often be fixed by using "canned air" and blowing the interior out completely.

Error code 5010

Canon only lists three 4-digit error codes for the MP500: 1700, 1851, and 1856. After much research and finding many other MP500 owners getting this same strange code, I have come to conclude that it's the code of DEATH. Sometimes you may get strange codes if using compatible ink cartridges. Unless you can get the printer to reset and clear, the only other thing to try is to go back to the Canon driver download page and reload the correct driver: http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=DownloadDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=334&modelid=11995

ERROR CODE 6B10 OR 6810

I went to www.canon.com/support and selected your printer. I then searched for your error code and did not find the specific code. I only found the following:

Issue: ERROR LCD: Error code (5xxx through 9xxx) appears on the display

1. Press ON/OFF switch to reset the multifunction device 2. Press Stop/Reset and ON/OFF to reset the printer 3. Removing paper jams MP500 / MP800 / MP950 4. The MP500 may require repair
You can click the "contact us" link and call them to get direct support from them. If you bought your printer recently, they will most likely give you free support over the phone.

My canon mp500 has U71 error all the time. How to

That's an ink cartridge error, you need to replace the one that doesn't light up when they're at the center position. If they're refilled you need to have a resetter to reset the cartridge, or just get a new one.
