Fitted new sim card into new doro phone and tried to charge battery but no joy? keep checking sim is in correctly which i am sure it is! help!

Having the SIM in the phone doesn't affect whether the phone charges or not. I'm guessing either the charger you have is bad or the battery in the phone won't hold the charge.

My doro 612 phone keeps turning itself off after 20 or 3mins and I have to press the red button to power it back on, any advice /

Hi -- I had this problem a few months ago. I found that if I took the battery out, let the phone rest for a few minutes, then put the battery back in then rebooted the phone. I did this a couple of times then the problem mysteriously disappeared. I hope this helps

Phone turns itself off

Hello jdavi187 and LesB ,
This problem sounds like a hardware fault to me ,on the mobiles motherboard .
The tiny surface mounted capacitors on the board that control the voltage and current from the battery get shorted out or simply stop working properly or if you drop the mobile it can create a dry solder joint on these components, sounds like you will have to take the mobile to a professional mobile technician, trying to replace tiny surface mount capacitors or resistors is nearly impossible without the correct tools and equipment.

Problem with new mobile

If you can try another fully charged battery, in your phone and it works then it might be a dodgy battery problem. leave the phone off to charge the battery for 10 hours and see if its better.
