Is this on a laptop running Windows? What version of Windows are you running? What kind of laptop is it. How are you trying to connect to the internet (router or Ethernet)?
if you are on a laptop, and depending on the brand sometimes you can accidentally bump the on/off switch for the WiFi. Try looking around the laptop for an on/off switch.
If that is not the case some laptop brands use a function key + F# key to turn on/off the WiFi function. Look for a key that has a button that reads func and look at the F# keys see if one contains a WiFi icon that allows you to turn on/off the WiFi.
Run Windows built in troubleshoot to try and determine what is exactly wrong.
